Indulging in the beloved French fry snack once in a while is always welcomed, in my book, because life is all about finding a healthy balance for ourselves. But, how about finding a healthy substitute without all the excess fat, sodium, and calories?
Cut the sweet potatoes into sticks 1/4-inch-wide and 3 inches long, and toss them with the oil.
Mix the spices, salt, and pepper in a small bowl, and toss them with the sweet potatoes. Line your rimmed baking sheets with parchment paper and spread your strips out in an even layer.
Place your pans either on the top rack for crispy fries or middle rack for softer fries. Bake until brown and crisp on the bottom, about 15 minutes, then flip and cook until the other side is crisp, about 10 minutes. Serve hot & enjoy!
Notes
Baking times vary depending on your oven & your desired crispiness. I baked mine for 20 minutes on each side. When trying this recipe out for the first time, be sure to keep an eye on your fries and adjust timing according to your liking.
