Softness & Strength Can Coexist

I almost deleted this photo the second I saw it.
Why? Because — gasp — you can see the skin folds on my stomach. (Major eye roll, I know!)
But then I paused.
Because this is what a real, moving body looks like.
We’ve been conditioned to believe skin folds are flaws…
That cellulite is something to “fix”…
That a “fit” body should look tight & smooth from every angle, all the time.
Here’s what I’m reminding myself & maybe it’s something that will reach you too:
✔️ Skin folds when we move…that’s normal
✔️ Cellulite? Up to 90% of women have it
✔️ Muscles & softness can absolutely coexist
✔️ A strong body can have softness, folds & still be beautifully powerful
✨ Both of these photos are lovely. This isn’t about bad vs. good. It’s about being honest with ourselves about how deeply we’ve internalized impossible standards.
So if you’ve been hard on yourself lately, here’s your gentle reminder to zoom out.
The images we scroll past every day are often the most flattering frame, angle, & light…not the full story.
Let’s stop chasing perfection & start honoring what’s real.
You are strong.
You are beautiful.
And your body? It’s not broken — it’s human.
If you’re looking for a way to reconnect with your body through movement that celebrates progress, not perfection, join us inside the e360 studio.
♥ With love always, Xo Melinda
